Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.Entertainment Weekly is seeking a seasoned photo editor.
The deal candidate is a team player with a passion for creative and innovative visual storytelling, as well as a deep love and knowledge of entertainment and editorial photography.
Must have a breadth of experience assigning shoots to photographers, production, on-set creative direction, asset selection and experience with overseeing retouching and color correction in post production.
Must have a fluency in the world of TV & Film, pop culture, editorial photography and the entertainment industry ecosystem we work within.
Must have experience with photo research and be familiar with stock agencies and press sites.SPECIFICS/MUST HAVES:* Brainstorm and pitch photographers and concepts for possible shoots, including creating visual presentations and mood boards.* Communicate and negotiate with representatives for talent, photographers or other creative contributors (stylists, groomers, set designers, props, etc) to ensure a collaborative process with full creative buy-in* Photo research for all sections of the magazine.* Strong collaboration skills with experience managing the objectives of multiple teams* Highly effective communicator both written and verbal* Ability to pivot quickly and often while maintaining cool, collected can-do attitude* Manage budgets* Manage onboarding, training, and invoicing for crew payment as needed* This role will have regular weekday hours; however, it may sometimes require early morning, evening or weekend work depending on production needs and editorial deadlines.II.
