Senior People Business Partner

Golden Road is looking for a Senior People Manager who will be responsible for providing general HR support and managing all HR policies, procedures, programs and key initiative projects for our brewery and 5 pub locations.

This role will also recommend and implement new people programs to address the needs of the brewery.

This is a key position that requires a dual understanding of the company’s business challenges and the needs of our employees.

This person will have an excellent pulse on ideas, thought leadership and innovative approaches to People, with an opportunity to evolve constantly based on business strategy and needs.

Job Responsibilities * Serve as the HR expert and provide guidance to management on various aspects of employment law (FMLA, ADA, harassment, disciplinary procedures, etc.) and internal company policies and procedures and serves as a subject matter expert on California labor law.* Guide and counsel management in implementing HR strategies that are aligned with overall business objectives.* Understand how to translate culture into people solutions that resonate with employees and positively impact the business.* Provide guidance to managers on compensation functions such as job evaluations, bonus administration and annual salary adjustment process.* Oversee and direct people cycle processes, such as workforce planning, talent development, recruitment, skills assessments and engagement activities for the brewery and pub populations.* Analyze engagement survey results and create action plans at multiple levels.* Train leadership in and oversee employee management, payroll, and hiring processes.* Provide direction with regards to employee relations, policy interpretation and disciplinary procedures.* Implement big picture ideas and solutions while also executing tactical work (master data reviews and updates, budget reviews, routine communications, etc.).* Work with finance team to understand budgeting, forecasting, and position management to meet or exceed yearly budgeted targets.* Target and work to retain the right people with a strong focus on diversity and inclusion initiatives.* Manage and mentor a People Specialist Job Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in Human Resources or related field strongly preferred * 5+ years of related experience.

* Strong Understanding of California employment law.

* Experience in creating and implementing strategic and impactful Human Resources initiatives.

* Experience with one or more of the following: HR Generalist, Learning & Development, Talent Management, Recruitment and Coaching.

* Understanding of key HR theories, practices and emerging ideas.

* Previous experience in HR within the restaurant or manufacturing industry a strong plus.
