Job Description:As a Senior Software Engineer – iOT Device you will be responsible for all phases of firmware development for the Wemo products and programs, including design, coding, integration, and debugging of major portions of the projects such as device drivers, applications, and user interfaces. Assignments require technical analysis and inventive design recommendations for cost effective resolutions of problems. The employee has full professional experience and expertise to imaginatively address tasks/assignments of a medium to complex level, with a system-wide understanding. Structures and manages the execution of project/program tasks with little guidance and supervision and recommends and executes new approaches. Coordinates across functional groups to ensure all tasks and input are received.Specific responsibilities include:* Developing applications and drivers for MCU based IoT devices using Real-Time Operation Systems, and Open Thread, Matter, Wi-Fi, BLE, and NFC technologies.* Developing applications interworking with iOS and Android platform, Home Automation applications, Cloud services and 3rd party IoT devices.* Debugging using emulators, analyzers, simulators, and similar tools.* Documentation of software designs and code with specifications and source comments, end user documentation.* Research technologies and presents complex findings with recommendations for product development strategy.* Participates in the generation of intellectual property for BelkinEducation and Experience Requirements:* A Bachelor of Science degree, or may have a Master of Science degree, in a technical discipline from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education & experience* 5-7 years’ of professional firmware development experience using RTOS, Linux, C/C++, IDE* Requires knowledge of cross functional and related technical areas such networking, mesh, wireless and communications technologies.What you’re getting intoWe’ve got big collaborative spaces for your big ideas, so bring an open mind and leave your suit in the closet.
