Job Details: SENIOR FAIR LENDING ANALYST
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Senior Fair Lending Analyst will be responsible for managing the data files required to be analyzed with the various loan origination and servicing systems, analyzing and reporting lending and pricing patterns relative to potential discriminatory outcomes, and providing in-depth analysis of the bank’s loan originations/applications reported on the HMDA LARas compared to industry Peer Data.

Additionally this position will be responsible for assisting in building out a state-of-the-art analytical component be creating statistically based regression analytics that mirror those used by our regulators.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Designing and employing statistical analysis and modeling techniques to assist the Fair Lending team and relevant business units in complying with Fair Lending laws and regulations
Applying statistical techniques to streamline data collection from multiple datasets and data validation procedures
Utilize software to perform regression and redlining statistical analysis on loan applications and originations for various lending portfolios.
Independently performing analytical and quantitative projects on Fair Lending issues, including accessing loan level data from multiple sources using SAS or SQL
Assist with fair lending documentation and analysis for the cyclical fair lending regulatory examination.
Create dashboards and KRI’s for HMDA and Fair Lending reporting
Staying current of the regulatory environment and expectations through discussions with peers, seminars, webinars and roundtables presented by regulatory agencies, law firms, bankers associations, etc.
Scrub datasets for use in fair lending and various ad-hoc analyses
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must-Have*
Bachelor’s Degree
5 years of experience developing and managing statistical modeling and strategic reporting, whether through advanced education or field application
Experience working with large data sets and pivot tables
Critical thinking and the ability to “connect the dots of multiple data points across multiple business units to develop a comprehensive assessment of compliance risk
Experience using Fair Lending and/or HMDA software a plus
Experienced in SAS/SQL programming
Skills and Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics required, Master’s Degree preferred
Excellent analytical, problem solving and project management skills
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of an organization.
Attention to detail and accuracy, requires minimal supervision of work product
Creativity and the ability to think “outside the box” resulting in innovative or different approaches to a particular task
Proficiency in multi-tasking and prioritizing projects.
Excellent time management skills and be accustomed to working with deadlines.
Knowledge of financial banking desired
A team player who can manage to time sensitive deliverables
Experience in modeling and data analytics
