-Onsite wire harness design engineer to work with team in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
-Visual and functional understanding of different ADK (autonomous development kit) versions affecting wire harness design -Adoption of existing RapidHarness files, creation of a new set of harness files for production vehicle platform -Edit existing RapidHarness files and build working physical harness as needed -Follow accurate version control and release process -Work with supply chain team to define component sections (connectors, wire bundles, etc) -Work with manufacturing team to ensure manufacturability of designs -Work with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to integrate all ADK components for best fit & function, serviceability, and aesthetics -Participate in design reviews -Participate in power-up, de-bug, and team collaboration to drive project and meet milestones -Harness prototype mock-ups -Collaboration with test and vehicle technicians to prove that the circuit protection and system redundancy is effective -Supporting additional electrical engineering activities as needed -Previous experience with electric vehicle and autonomous vehicle projects preferred.
