Chemours is seeking a Senior Energy Engineer with specialization in Combustion Systems to join our growing Engineering Technology team This full-time position will report directly to the Engineering Senior Manager and is located at Chemours headquarters in Wilmington, DE.

Remote working arrangements will be supported for highly qualified candidates.

The successful candidate will join a diverse team of technical experts who provide high-value, innovative engineering solutions to Chemours global chemical businesses in support of research and development, plant operations, and new capital projects.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Providing complete engineering solutions for chemical process combustion systems Supporting specification, design, commissioning, installation, and startup activities Analyzing system performance, troubleshooting operation, identifying root causes for failures, and developing improvement opportunities Providing support to global energy networks and climate goal teams Exploring new energy technologies including but not limited to renewable thermal and electrification Developing and delivering webinar and in-person training to internal client groups The following is required for this role: Accredited degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (BS, MS, or PhD) 5
– 10 years of relevant post-degree work experience Expertise in fired equipment, burners, thermal oxidizers, and combustion controls Experience with industrial chemical processes Experience in specification, design, commissioning, and startup of new equipment A valid passport and ability to sustain an average travel rate of 25% (mostly domestic) The following is preferred for this role: Experience with industrial dryer systems Experience with pinch analysis for minimizing energy consumption Experience with industrial utility systems (steam, condensate, compressed gas, water supply/cooling) Experience with industrial water treatment for boiler and cooling tower systems Proficiency with standard modeling packages (MS Excel, Aspen Plus, and/or AFT Arrow/Fathom) Benefits: Competitive Compensation Comprehensive Benefits Packages 401(k) Match Employee Stock Purchase Program Tuition Reimbursement Commuter Benefits Learning and Development Opportunities Strong Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives Company-paid Volunteer Days Were a different kind of chemistry company because we see our people as our biggest assets.
