Senior Editorial Specialist

We are working with a top finance company, who has the need for a Senior Editorial Specialist with experience in copywriting, editing and project management. Senior Editorial Specialist Responsibilities: Provide project management and general oversight, including maintenance of ongoing editorial and marketing team calendars, to ensure projects move forward. Interact with legal department to shepherd documents and presentations through the regulatory compliance process. Create original content, including writing stories for client magazine, brochures and white papers. Involvement in multiple aspects of the content creation process, including proposing ideas, synthesizing data and collaborating with writers/editors to develop stories and other written materials. Data updates and markups on a variety of documents, which will require pulling data from a number of systems and sources. Development of investment content supporting monthly and quarterly investment mandate results. Updating information in materials that require quarterly/annual updates, including, but not limited to, statistical information and changes in investment and risk disclosures. Occasional copyediting to ensure materials are error-free. Copyediting and proofreading print and electronic materials for clarity, grammar, accuracy, consistency, style and tone, and disclosure requirements. Verifying statistics and facts against internal and external sources. Recommending copy-edits based on knowledge of target audience and internal and external style guides. Compilation of circulation comments from legal, business, marketing and creative associates onto a master document. Senior Editorial Specialist Requirements: Demonstrates sound judgment when resolving matters of moderate complexity. Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills; strong grammar and syntax skills. Experience in journalism or financial writing a plus. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of spelling, punctuation, grammar and style guides and ability to apply it to work assignments. Demonstrates the ability to work in a team environment and across broad, diverse groups; demonstrates strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrates strong production coordination skills, including following production schedules, tracking deliverables, problem solving and escalating issues as appropriate. Demonstrates strong attention to detail; demonstrates ability to multitask and stay organized, effectively manage an unpredictable workload, and meet established deadlines.
