Senior DSF Analyst

THE ROLE: Analyst for Top Multifamily Team (Los Angeles, CA)Someone who is comfortable in excel and will be responsible for the preliminary underwriting of new loans, along with taking deals from pre-approval through due diligence to closing quickly and seamlessly.

THE TEAM: #1 Multifamily Debt OriginatorThis position offers the candidate the opportunity to work on the top team at CBRE.

This team was ranked in the top 2% within CBRE for ’09-’20.

In 2019 and 2020 this team was the top overall team in capital markets and debt and structured finance.

Most of the production over the past five years consisted of arranging debt for multifamily properties through a variety of lenders.

Since 2017, the team has closed over $3.1 billion annually in multifamily financing.

CBRE has the top multifamily loan origination platform along with being the number one agency loan originator for the past 5+ years.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: * Assist in the preliminary underwriting process, evaluating a deal’s strengths and weaknesses, while offering direction on credit compliance and pricing strategy* Manage to customer satisfaction and internal timelines for transaction funding; regularly communicate loan status updates to underwriting team, originators, and clients as appropriate.* Manage the due diligence process, and mitigate any concerns relating to market conditions, operations, property condition, valuation, and sponsor* Review and analysis of specialized documents such as ground leases, regulatory agreements, Section 8 contracts, bond documentation and operating agreements* Perform financial analysis and achieve optimal loan proceeding by including collections trend, NOI and DSC calculations, while understanding all Agency underwriting constraints* Analyze and evaluate complex ownership borrower structures relative to legal and financial responsibilities and obligations* Complete loan narrative incorporating strengths, weaknesses and mitigants of the overall transaction, and ensure accuracy and aggressive terms in the final commitment letterQUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will possess or demonstrate the following personal and professional attributes:* Knowledge and ability to write loan narratives, complete accurate moderate-to-complicated financial analysis, identify strengths and weaknesses of a given deal, and present deals to loan committee for approval* Moderate knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures associated with multifamily transactions* Self-motivated, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, along with an attention to detail and a curiosity that allows constant self-improvement* Moderate-to-strong analytical, problem solving, with ability and desire to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced, demanding environment* Ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial and small, dynamic team environment and proactively take on additional tasks and responsibilities that may arise without hesitation* Ability and willingness to work long hours and have a considerable amount of compensation directly tied to deal closings* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the specific ability to communicate moderate financial concepts and ideas concisely* Ability to comfortably interact with clients and Agency underwriters in a professional manner, and a desire to provide exceptional service to our clients* Years of experience: 2-4 years of experience in Real Estate or Finance————————
