RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement reliable, secure, and available performance requirements

  • Participate in Query optimization and ensure that compliance standards are maintained by the development team

  • Diagnose and Troubleshoot database issues as well as Improve and implement new features

  • Assist clients understanding of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals

  • Provide in-depth analysis to define issues and develop innovative solutions

  • Create automation for manual tasks and normalize unstructured data

  • Upgrade the existing DBs to a higher version

  • Perform Data Migration activities on Cassandra and PostgreSQL DBs

REQUIREMENTS

  • Expert in NoSQL databases as well as relational databases such as PostgreSQL

  • Highly skilled in installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, deploying, and running DBs

  • Strong Understanding of DBMS concepts such as ACID, CAP and consistency

  • Knowledge of Cassandra and PostgreSQL internals such as consistency and replication settings

  • Hands-on Experience data modeling within SQL and no-SQL DBs as well as Performance tuning

  • Comfortable working in an operational production support role

  • Familiar with managing stateful applications on Kubernetes

  • Exposure to both the public and private cloud
