DATA ANALYST – LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
The Select Groups’ utility client is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join their team. This person can sit remote to start but will likely be asked to attend onsite meetings towards the end of 2021 for necessary collaboration. This team is responsible for project closeout for high pressure pipe installations. This person will provide support with analyzing datasets, defining workflows, and making metrics more integrated for future projects.
DATA ANALYST REQUIREMENTS:
- Seasoned in Data Analysis (10+ years, will consider 8+ for rockstar)
- Proficient with PowerBi and DAX formulas
- Skilled with relational databases, including SQL and Access
- Ability to write SQL scripts from scratch and understand existing queries
- Strong understanding of data – ability to work with multiple sources, understanding of how to normalize data and understand data flows, relation and correlations
- SharePoint experience
DATA ANALYST EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree
DATA ANALYST RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for attending and participating in weekly meetings with the project closeout strike Team consisting of members from multiple Teams in Gas System Integrity
- Will work to intimately understand data and datasets coming from 13 different sources
- Responsible for validating, identifying, and displaying data in Power/Bi
- Will take the time to understand the data sources and determine how to normalize data
- Will understand how the data relates and develop correlations
- Will create key fields across the data sources to see how data flows through the processes
