Senior Counselor — Remote | WFH

We’re on the lookout for former undergraduate admissions officers from esteemed Ivy League and top 30 national universities or liberal arts colleges to join our esteemed college admissions consulting team. As a consultant, you’ll bring your wealth of experience in college admissions to guide and mentor talented students, predominantly Vietnamese, through their college application journey. Responsibilities: Engage in personalized 1-on-1 consultations with students, either online or in-person at our offices in Hanoi or HCMC, depending on your location, on a weekly or monthly basis as needed. Provide tailored guidance to students navigating the undergraduate application process, including assessing strengths, interests, and potential university matches. Offer strategic counsel on crafting compelling application essays, resumes, and supplementary materials. Conduct mock interviews via Zoom and furnish constructive feedback to help students excel in admissions interviews. Keep abreast of the latest trends and shifts in admission requirements and policies across various universities. Uphold ethical and professional standards, aligning with company policies and guidelines, especially those concerning confidentiality. Undertake additional duties as assigned, such as collaborating with the consulting team to develop and refine counseling materials and programs, or sharing insights at conferences. Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from an American university/college is essential. Prior experience as an admissions officer at an Ivy League institution or a top 30 university is preferred. Experience in evaluating applications from Asia, particularly the Southeast Asia region, is advantageous. Deep understanding of undergraduate admissions processes, requirements, and expectations. Exceptional writing/editing skills and strong interpersonal abilities. Demonstrated organizational prowess and keen attention to detail. Passion for mentoring and guiding students through the college application journey.
