Position Summary
This Senior Corporate Counsel position directly reports to the General Counsel. We are seeking a corporate generalist to handle a variety of commercial matters.
Responsibilities
- Review, structure, draft and negotiate commercial agreements in a broad range of transactional disciplines, including marketing and services agreements, SaaS agreements, publisher agreements, influencer agreements, production agreements, co-branding agreements, NDAs, and license agreements.
- Gather and evaluate internal and external information, and perform legal research and analysis, to determine whether company actions or processes comply with company policies, laws and regulations.
- Draft website terms and disclosures.
- Provide advice and counseling to cross-functional teams on novel, cutting edge issues impacting ecommerce.
- Manage and collaborate with top tier outside law firms.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-6 years of corporate, transactional law experience.
- Experience with marketing and sweepstakes laws a plus.
- In-house experience preferred, but not required.
- Self-starter; entrepreneurial, “roll up your sleeves” attitude.
- Exceptional legal drafting, research and analytical skills.
- Admission to a state bar and in good standing.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail and sense of professional accountability.
