Senior CG Generalist | Shot Production

Overview

This is an on-site role in Los Angeles, CA.

Looking for a full-time (40 hrs/week) Senior CG Generalist. The CG Generalist will be part of a specialized technical team charged with cleaning up and rebuilding our asset pipeline and creating an asset management system over a period of 9 months. The Senior CG Generalist – Shot Production will test repaired assets through the entire shot production pipeline including animation and lighting/rendering. They will be responsible for implementing a new asset management system and making sure that repaired assets work in the new pipeline.

The CG Generalist’s Job Responsibilities:

Lorem Ipsum
Troubleshooting animated scenes
Troubleshooting lighting scene files
Providing support for lighting team when scenes require fixes
Creating and repairing broken shaders on existing assets
Repathing missing textures and proxies
Assisting the animation team with set dressing
Creating or Replacing Proxies
Troubleshooting large scale sets to render faster
Adjustmenting rigs on characters and props in broken scenes
Working collaboratively with the CG Supervisor and Animation Leads and Production team

The CG Generalist’s Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field
Practical industry experience required
Knowledge of Animation
Excellent working knowledge of a Maya CG animation pipeline
Extensive familiarity with Maya, TSM, Mgear and production tracking software such as Shotgrid
A high technical aptitude
Superb interpersonal skills
Ability to stay on schedule
A growth mindset, attention to detail, and an excellent work ethic
