JOB SUMMARY:

As a Senior Business Development Lead, Americas, you will be responsible for leading the Airbnb for Real Estate sales team to grow our penetration into Multifamily developers, owners and operators.  You will train and motivate the sales team to outperform sales quotas and increase Multifamily supply on Airbnb.  Working closely with the head of Go To Market, you will define and implement the sales strategy and processes from sales funnel tracking and reporting to the sales team performance and pipeline.  To help enhance our product and services, you will work cross functionally with product leadership, program management, and account management to gather and present client and market feedback.  In this role, you are measured on your ability to train and motivate your team to grow Airbnb for Real Estate’s footprint into high impact assets across the country. 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement a national sales strategy targeting high impact assets through aggressive prospecting, lead nurturing and closing.
  • Manage, train and motivate a team of “hunter” minded sales professionals to activate the go to market strategy and help move deals through the sales funnel.  
  • Train and hold the team accountable for cold calling, prospecting, legal negotiations and closing. 
  • Develop and implement a CRM strategy that tracks funnel  and sales performance against goals.
  • Report sales progress to leadership on a weekly and adhoc basis.
  • Interface with external partners in person, virtually and at industry events to build relationships and help close deals at the highest level of their organization.
  • Ability to clearly articulate the financial and other benefits of our programs to your team and partners.
  • Identify market trends and feedback to enhance products and systems.
  • Create a fun and supportive environment for your team.
  • Negotiate contracts through our legal process.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Approximately 12+  years of experience and at least 3+ years in a people management role. 
  • Drive and ambition with a proven track record of managing a highly productive remote sales team. 
  • Working knowledge of real estate acquisitions, development, finance, hospitality and/or multifamily operations strongly preferable.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with CRM to drive and report on sales performance.
  • Highly developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Consultative approach to solving problems and presenting solutions.
  • Talent for distilling meaning from data and then presenting information clearly and concisely.
  • Positive and goal oriented leadership skills that inspire and motivate your team.
  • Expected Travel in the role 50% across the US for in person team or client meetings, tradeshows and client entertainment.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate/finance
