We give teachers the curriculum, tools, and support to create compelling experiences—in and outside of class—to make every student a successful math and science learner.

In this full-time position, the Senior Advisor will work with the Regional Director of Professional Services for the state of Texas to transform student achievement, student engagement, teacher effectiveness, and teacher satisfaction in our partner districts by:Collaborating with district leaders to develop enactment goals, indicators, and professional development plans to support district articulated initiatives; working with leaders throughout the school year to determine progress on goals.Delivering customized professional development sessions for teachers and leaders in a variety of contexts, including at large scale regional training sessions for multiple partners during the summer as well as site-based training and virtual conferencing throughout the school year.Responding to district needs by customizing and facilitating advisor services, the content of which includes data analysis, collaborative planning, classroom coaching, modeling lessons, leadership walkthroughs, and seminars.Writing facilitator protocols to replicate best practices.Directly supporting the sales team to help expand partnerships with schools, districts, and states.Writing reports to district and school leaders and following-up on action items.Serving as a model of excellence and research-based best practices for our partners through the design and delivery of high-quality professional development experiences.Building relationships with teachers and leaders that foster success and collaboration.Desired Skills & ExperienceDemonstrated success providing middle school/high school math instructionExperience as a math coach or instructional leader/consultant, providing professional learning services to teachers and administratorsDemonstrated ability to conduct and facilitate effective presentations, both in-person and virtually, which include responsiveness, flexibility, and the ability to exercise good judgmentStrong foundational knowledge in evidence-based mathematics instruction and applied research in teaching mathematics.In-depth knowledge of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills curriculum standards, Common Core State Standards, and other state standards for MathematicsKnowledgeable about effective skills and strategies for diverse learners and non-native English speakers.A history of educational work centered on equitable outcomes for students most underserved by our educational system; an understanding of theconcepts and impact of institutional and structural racism and bias and their impact on underserved and underrepresented communities.Experience with the design and delivery of professional development for adult learners, both face-to-face and through virtual conferencingAbility to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsMaster’s Degree in Education or related fieldOrganized self-starter with solid time management skills.Availability for overnight travel for multiple day engagements with school districts in Texas and nationally.
