Overview: Reports to: IM Compliance and Continuity Manager Functions Supervised: None Primary Functions: Support Information Management’s compliance with applicable state and federal regulatory requirements, internal requirements, and industry best practices.
Assist in researching and analyzing new or changed requirements and verifying necessary changes are implemented.
Support IM risk and compliance monitoring and testing processes.Duties and Responsibilities:1.
Develop a working knowledge of credit union functions.2.
Develop familiarity with applicable state and federal regulatory requirements, internal requirements and industry best practices related to information management and business continuity.3.
Assist in obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating documentation, processes, and practices to support reviews of IM compliance related issues.
4.
Assist in the completion of comprehensive compliance reviews and risk assessments of IM compliance related issues.5.
Assist in the preparation of management reports related to IM compliance reviews and risk assessments.
6.
Assist in tracking corrective plans when warranted by compliance review or risk assessment results.
7.
Become familiar with emerging technology trends, methodologies, and practices.8.
Assist with special projects as required.9.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Education: Associates or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Management, or related field.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Equivalent technical training and certifications required.
At least one year in the financial industry, information compliance areas, or business continuity.Experience/Skills: Technical knowledge of current systems, software, hardware, protocols, and standards, business analysis, business IT, risk management or regulatory compliance experience a plus.
Strong human relations skills to interface with staff at all levels within the organization and to deal with vendors.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Familiarity with basic Microsoft products.
Good organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage time-sensitive activities.Tenure: Assignment to the Security Risk and Compliance Analyst I category 10, Security Risk and Compliance Analyst II category 09, Security Risk and Compliance Analyst III category 08, or Senior Security Risk and Compliance Analyst category 07 will be determined by the candidate’s education or experience.
Advancement requires management recommendation and will be based on the candidate’s certifications and/or performance.
