Security Agent JFK

Job Description: The Security Agent is responsible for a wide range of functions which include maintaining positive control of the aircraft at all times, ensuring the safety of the air crew members and cargo.

They monitor and control all traffic entering and exiting the airport operation area.

The Security Agent reviewsimages of bags and cargo, using remote screening equipment, and alert baggage screeners or handlers to any possible problems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor and maintain controlled access of the aircraft entrance and its surroundings Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours or more.

Screening individuals and their belongings prior to aircraft or airport operation area entry.

Search aircraft for unauthorized material and/or personnel Transporting pilots to and from the aircraft to their destinations Inspect items, using x-ray viewing equipment, to determine whether items contain objects that warrant further investigation.

Preparing required reports, forms and records as required by the Transportation Security Administration Maintain working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures and regulations Reporting all suspicious items or activity to management to determine the correct course of action MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be 18 years or older Must have reliable means of transportation Must be able to walk, stand or sit for long periods at a time Must have valid driver’s license Must have high school diploma Must be able to pass a 10 year background check Must be able to work weekends and holidays Must be a US Citizen Must have a Security Guard License Alliance Ground International is an equal opportunity employer.
