Altman Greenfield & Selvaggi is a fast-growing, boutique Accounting Firm specializing in Business Management for entertainment clients, located in West Los Angeles, CA. We are currently seeking a Seasonal, Temp Tax Preparer for this location. This role requires a high energy individual, with flexibility in their schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare federal, state, and local tax returns and extensions – individuals, corporate, partnerships, and trust returns
- Accurately prepare clean and easy-to-follow workpapers
- Review tax information and identify missing items
- Perform tax research
- Identify and communicate issues to seniors and Partners and help problem solve to find solutions
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years relevant tax preparation experience; mid-sized CPA industry experience is preferred
- BS or Masters in Accounting
- Ability to commute to West LA 4 days/week
- Strong proficiency in tax laws- individual, corporate, partnerships, and trusts
- Motivated, self-starter
- Organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to multi-task and prioritize
- Excelled client service skills
- Terrific communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to problem solve, thinking both creatively and logically
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with ProSystems
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends, as needed
