Open to other Anthem/Amerigroup office locations.This leader will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for provider engagement and contracting for the State of Texas with a benefit spend of approximately $3 billion, including local cost of care and trend management, provider contracting, implementation and local oversight of all types of payment innovation programs, and provider relations and education.Primary duties of this role may include, but are not limited to:+ Delivers competitive cost of care trends in Texas.+ Develops provider networks that provide a competitive advantage.+ Aligns contracting strategy with medical management strategy.+ Integrates quality metrics and incentives into contracting process.+ Serves as Provider Solutions local single point of accountability for all product lines.+ Accountable for achieving both state and enterprise Value Based Care targets for all products States+ Accountable for achieving the provider network Cost of Care targets in the state for both Medicare and Medicaid.+ Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.+ Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills and will be effective in establishing a collaborative relationship with the Texas Medicaid plan.QualificationsThis position requires a BS/BA in business administration or related healthcare field; 8+ years of experience in healthcare operations, finance, underwriting, actuary, network development and/or sales; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.Must Have+ Contracting and negotiating experience.+ Medicaid and Medicare network contracting experience.+ Familiarity with Texas provider market.Preferred+ Texas managed care experience.+ MBAApplicable to Colorado Applicants OnlyAnnual Salary Range*: $183,598.40
– $229,498.00Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.* The hourly or salary range is the range Anthem in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
