Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) is the provider of advanced electrical scanned antenna (AESA) radar sensor systems for multiple platforms including: the U.S.

Navy’s F/A-18 Aircraft, the Air Force’s F/A-15 Aircraft, and the Gen 5.X Family of Systems (FOS) Radars for multiple platforms.

Specifically, a Systems Engineer who can articulate well-developed requirements, manage requirements in DOORS, perform requirements traceability throughout the spec tree, communicate with other functions regarding flow-down, and ultimately compile verification artifacts in DOORS and perform requirements sell-off.

This department provides the full range of systems design, analysis, integration, verification, and validation activities in support of RIS radar programs.Primary Responsibilities:Develop and maintain requirements in DOORS for a small family of related airborne Radar Sensor ProgramsSupport the development and flow down of system requirements, ensuring that specifications sent to vendors conform to the system specificationsPerform requirements decomposition form system level requirements to subsystemPerform requirements traceability at multiple levels of the system specification tree to ensure that any orphan and childless requirements are identified and resolvedDevelop well-articulated requirements specifications for various Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)Develop Integration & Test Plans and Procedures for the LRUs that capture the entirety of the requirements specification(s) and the verification intentParticipate in peer reviews throughout the product lifecycle of design, development, integration and test, and flight test requirements verificationParticipate in Root Cause Analysis utilizing Raytheon Technologies Best Practices (R6Sigma) and Tools to identify and analyze Radar System anomaliesPerform technical and programmatic presentations to both internal and external customersRequired Skills:Domain KnowledgeMinimum of 5 years experience in Systems EngineeringWorking knowledge of DOORS for requirements development, maintenance, and analysisWorking knowledge of Requirements Traceability, including experience working with other functions to flow requirements to vendorsDemonstrated experience with requirements decompositions from system level requirements to subsystem specificationsAbility to export DOORS databases to useful Word Documents for review and release in a Product Data Management system.Demonstrated understanding of requirements development, design specifications, Integration and test activities, including planning, execution, and selloff.Demonstrated understanding of Airborne Radar systems and their principals of design, development, Requirements Verification, I & T, Operation, Flight Test, Repair and SustainmentLeadershipCommunication, integrity, judgment, coordination, influenceActively engages, drives change to achieve execution excellence and solve critical issuesExamples of leading a technical team in advanced radar development effortsMentoring and providing career development direction to junior engineersDesired Skills:Experience writing, flowing, decomposing, and selling off requirements within DOORSExperience executing requirements analyses and developing DXL scripts within DOORSExperience developing specification trees, including complementary Integration and Test specification trees, that link the design to testWorking knowledge and experience with Radar system architectures, Design, Hardware Integration, and Test.Integration and Test experience with demonstrated ability to execute test plans, develop test artifacts, and sell-off requirementsExperience with Gherkin/Cucumber to develop test scenarios that fully capture the intended requirements set under testExperience as a IV& V Lead or Technical Leadon a previous programStrong work ethic, Leads by exampleRequired Education: BS Degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, System Engineering or related discipline.Desired Education: MS Degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, System Engineering or related discipline.U.S.
