Our engineers are creating new possibilities in space.”Raytheon Technologies Space Systems is currently in need for a Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) for the Tumlin effort.

This technical position requires a top performer with strong tactical and space systems engineering for EO/IR payloads.

The SEIT IPT Lead is responsible for ensuring the assigned team’s objectives are achieved on schedule, within budget, and consistent with quality and technical standards.

The SEIT IPT lead oversees execution on all aspects of the systems engineering, integration and test team’s work products.

In this position, the candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership, control account ownership, guidance, and direct interfacing with internal and external customers.The ’s responsibilities include the overall technical execution of the systems engineering, integration, test, IV& V functions, and communication and interface with program leadership.

The candidate will be responsible for cost and schedule, task management, staffing coordination, variance analysis and earned value reporting.

Additionally, the will supervise systems engineering, system requirements, system testing, updating of test procedures, and generation of sell-off reports.

The candidate needs to demonstrate the ability to work in a high paced, high demand program environment, and to manage SEIT resources (including staff, facilities, and equipment) efficiently.

Finally, the candidate must also successfully interface with the Product Area Chief Engineer and lead the management of subcontractors.This role is responsible for the Systems Engineering of a development and ground demonstration program within the Special Programs portfolio of Space Systems.

Activities include:Generation and management of artifacts associated with a Technical Baseline which include Technical Performance Metrics (TPMs) / Key Performance Parameters (KPPs), operational views, concept of operations (CONOPS) architectures, compliance matrices, system specifications, interface requirements specifications and system designs.Development and flow down of systems requirements, error budget trees, and performance modeling, simulation and analysisDevelopment of test strategies, verification plans, and test proceduresIntegration of hardware and softwareEnsuring systems engineering products (e.G., studies, designs, analyses, reports, etc.) meet objectives/expectationsCreating technical presentations to both internal and external customersKey presenter at technical reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TIMs)Communicating status, results, and recovery plans (if needed) to senior and executive managementPartner with the Chief Engineer and Program Manager to ensure flawless program executionRequired Skills: Minimum 10 years of industry experience, with a minimum of 5 years in space-based EO/IR systemsExperience with architecture, hardware, software and system integration of Electro-optical and/or infrared remote sensorsExperience being a part of technical teams and providing technical mentoring to othersExperience with developing and presenting technical briefings to the customer and company managementExperience effectively leading teams of technical experts to resolve challenging technical problems, including multi-disciplined teamExcellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), with prior experience in dealing with customers, management, technical staff, and internal / external organizationsExperience with requirements management tool such as Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)Experience in cost and schedule management using a government approved Earned Value Management System (EVMS)Experience with leading program startup including defining the SEMPU.S.
