Position Overview:A QA Receiving Inspector will have knowledge of aerospace inspection techniques, customer specifications, and a dedication to being part of a world class manufacturing team.
Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for inspection of receiving partsReviews incoming shipments and verifies quantity and other identifying information against the shipping paperwork, and records shortagesAbility to understand and interpret supplier certifications and test documentsConducts conventional inspection to engineering requirements using height gages, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, and other standard inspection methodsExamines manufacturing plans, engineering documents, and drawings to determine product requirements per ASME Y14.5 specificationPrints and follows inspection staging requirementsBuys in material, standards, and partsEnsures documents are kept up to dateCompletes all daily record keeping requirements.Adheres to all workplace safety guidelines, policies, and laws determined by the company, state, and federal authoritiesPerforms other duties as assigned Required Attributes:Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize activities within an environment of fast-paced periods of competing deadlines and fluctuating workloadAble to work off shifts with little or no supervisionTeam player with a can-do attitude Education, Skills, and Experience:One years’ experience as a QA Inspector in the aerospace industryFamiliarity with reading and interpreting blueprints and specificationsKnowledge of inspection techniques, measuring, and trigonometryProficiency with Microsoft applications and MRP systems Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of this job.
