Roofing Installer

Overview:

The Roofing Installer will be responsible for working closely with the Roofing Foreman, Branch Construction Supervisor, and installation teams.

The Roofing Installer will be responsible for assisting roof projects and repairs.

The Roofing Installer is a working field position that works with a team of 3 to 6 members.

The Roofing Installer will be cross trained as a PV Solar Installer as well.

Responsibilities:

As a Roofing Installer, You will be responsible for:
Assisting in the successful re-roof and repair of clients roofs including but not limited to:Safely loading and unloading roofing materials from the vehicle to the roof using pulleys or a ladderEnsuring there are adequate materials and equipment to safely and efficiently complete projectsSafely removing and clearing existing roofing from homeInstalling new roofing-composition, tile, and single-ply roofing according to manufacturer specificationsRepairing and/or replacing damaged sheathing, starter, fascia, and rafters
Locating and repairing cracked tiles; filling in missing tiles; clearing out gutters and drains; locating and fixing leaks; repairing damage caused by storms and high winds
Assisting the Roofing Foreman with completing projects within established guidelines and timeframes by:Ensuring attention to detail with an emphasis on safety, quality, customer service, and productivity
Demonstrating knowledge of OSHA standards related to roofing procedures and enforce safety practices and standards
Performing service calls and assisting with new PV installs when necessary
Qualifications:

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated team player with:
(1) year or more of roofing experience, including concrete tile, clay tile, and composition shingleKnowledge of standard roofing procedures, methods, materials, systems, and buildings codes as they relate to the roofing processBasic carpentry skills as they relate to roofing; plywood and shiplap replacementAbility to follow instructions, learn quickly, and know when to ask questions.Ability to carry materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)Ability to work safely in a branch/warehouse/rooftop environment and with construction tools.Excellent documentation skillsProfessional appearance and excellent customer interaction skillsHave a strong work ethic, high level of craftsmanship/workmanship with strong attention to detailHigh school diploma or GEDBilingual a plus5% travel is required
