Responsibilities

About this Opportunity:

Responsible for maintaining an optimal database (registry). Incumbent monitors the process and outcome of trauma patient care. Goals are to ensure the quality and timely provision of excellent trauma care, to improve the knowledge and skills of trauma care providers, and to provide institutional structure and organization to promote quality improvement. Incumbent facilities the establishment of policies, procedures, and protocols for the care of the injured, oversees systematic surveillance of this care and modifies the process and where necessary to attain and sustain appropriate standards. Critical to theses efforts, the incumbent possesses a detailed understanding of the causes, treatments and outcomes of injury and appropriate care of the injury as established by the American College of Surgeons.

QualificationsQualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years clinical trauma nursing experience, e. g., emergency department, operating room, surgical-trauma intensive care unit.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of multiple teams.
  • Ability to work in diverse cultural community groups.
  • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity in problem solving and ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Requires ACLS , BCLS , and current California RN license.
