POSITION SUMMARY The Behavioral Health Unit at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center is the only inpatient facility of its kind serving a nine-county region in Southern Oregon and Northern California and advances Asante’s vision to significantly improve the patient experience for people facing a mental health crisis.

That vision included adopting a trauma-informed approach to mental health care called The Sanctuary Model, as well as creating a resiliency support program called Team CARE Response for employees.

The unit was recently expanded to accommodate more inpatients and offers 24 rooms, each with a garden view.

In addition, renovations were made to the Psychiatric Care Unit housed in the Emergency Department that offers additional psychiatric beds.

The average patient census is 18 and nurse to patient ratios are 6:1.

The average patient stay is 9 days.

All Behavioral Health RN’s also float to the ED to care for the psychiatric patients being treated in the Emergency Department.
