Job Details

Job Summary

  • Strong data analytics skills in production of risk financing reports, claim trends, and other risk reporting needs.
  • Project management skills to coordinate various risk management projects such as RMIS implementation, risk assessments, and other projects undertaken by the department.
  • Collaborative in a team-oriented manner to support the risk management team objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate complex risk management issues concisely and effectively.
  • Conducts complex research and analysis on loss trending, benchmarking, financial, and statistics to support the optimization of the enterprise risk management program.
  • Responds to internal and external requests for certificates of insurance, renewal data, claim reporting, and other requests relevant to the needs of the risk management department.
  • Supports department and/or business unit projects that strive to improve the capabilities of the business unit, enhance information for senior executives, and increase productivity of field/department teams.
  • Contribute toward the implementation of risk management policies, procedures.
  • Support field Risk & Safety Managers in the development and implementation of various risk and safety programs, claims filing, and litigation coordination.
  • Experienced in handling non-complex GL, Auto, and property claims through to settlement.
  • Assist risk management team in developing broker and adjuster relationships through effective communication.
  • May be required to travel to entity locations on an occasional basis.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Safety Engineering, preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of professional risk management or insurance industry experience.
  • Designations such ARM, CPCU, AIC and/or other related professional designation preferred or able to attain within 2 years of hire.
  • knowledge of regulatory compliance to OSHA, EPA, and NFPA.
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance, types of policies and coverage including general, auto liability, property, workers’ compensation, and EPL.
  • Experience in management of non-complex claims through settlement and manage insurance adjuster relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytic skills, evaluating trends to mitigate potential exposures.
  • Coordinate policy renewal data submission with the Corporate Risk Manager.
  • Knowledge of Risk Information Management Systems, preferably Origami Risk.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point)
  • Preferred experience in use of a risk management information system database.
  • Experience in SQL and other programing languages is preferred.
