Summary: The Risk Decisioning Analyst will work cross-functionally with technology and business teams to assist in expansion of data driven decision making processes at Aarons.
The analyst will understand predictive risk models in depth and leverage that expertise to translate business questions into actionable insights.
A pro-active individual with a strong analytical skillset and a collaborative mindset will be successful in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities: Leverages SQL and visualization tools to blend data from multiple data sources to answer key business questions Uses predictive modeling to optimize business outcomes Enhances risk decisioning practices through optimization and automation Assists in setting a strategy for expanding the use of data science and machine learning models across the organization Works closely with IT and Business Intelligence teams on reporting and data changes Performs ad hoc analyses and provides recommendations Required Education, Experience, and Certifications: Bachelors degree in quantitative/analytical field required Prior hands-on experience with programming languages required 1-2 years of relevant experience is preferred Required Skills and Competencies: Proficient in SQL programming Strong critical thinking and problem solving Proficiency in creating complex spreadsheets, pivot tables, and models in Excel preferred VBA proficiency preferred PowerBI proficiency preferred The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by associates assigned to this classification.
