Role

Splunk is looking for a Senior Revenue Analyst to join our high-impact Revenue Operations team as we strive to reach $5 billion in revenue and beyond. This position is for a leader who is passionate about process and analyzing data while ensuring that revenue is recognized in accordance with US GAAP and company policies. While detail oriented and a critical thinker, you have a full understanding of the big picture. You thrive on streamlining the Order-to-Cash process and strengthening the company’s control environment. You will partner with numerous cross functional teams, and you are an excellent collaborator. A successful candidate will have the ability to adapt to change and shift priorities quicklywhile maintaining organization and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Execute month-end close activities including preparation of journal entries, account analysis, reconciliations, and fluctuation analysis
  • Provide support and thought leadership to identify and implement close related operational excellence opportunities
  • Prepare and/or support quarterly Standalone Selling Price (SSP) analysis, Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) calculations, deferred and unbilled revenue analysis
  • Work closely with internal business partners (FP&A, Technical Accounting, Order Management, Business Practices, BizApps) to ensure compliance with US GAAP, revenue policies, procedures, and controls
  • Assist in internal and external audits; provide PBCs. financial reports, and ad hoc analyses for areas of responsibility
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant revenue experience including ASC 606 experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. or equivalent
  • Experience in SOX control execution/documentation environment
  • Thorough and detail oriented with an ability to work in a changing environment
  • Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills, including ability to interact effectively with management, peers, and cross-functional teams
  • Advanced Excel skills, experience with SFDC, SAP, RevPro and/or Python a plus
  • CPA experience a plus but not required
