This position may fill in for lunch/breaks for Retort Operators as needed and will ensure the product is processed according to FDA/USDA process schedules.
Job Requirements:
- Process each load in retorts in accordance with FDA or USDA process schedules.
- Complete daily retort production reports accurately.
- Notifies Production Supervisor of any processing problem or irregularities.
- Checks accuracy and proper functioning of equipment.
- Ensures that each load is properly processed and recorded.
- Uses proper vent and process schedule.
- Draws incubation and evaluation samples out of every retort.
- Notifies QA of any deviations.
- Documents and initials and process deviations.
- Ensures product is cooked prior to the 2 hr time limit.
- Loading and unloading retorts.
Qualifications:
- Operator must be willing to obtain a F.D.A. Certified retort operators license (Company will assist)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
