Job Description
Nordstrom Local is a neighborhood service hub that provides customers more convenient choices to engage with Nordstrom’s range of services; from quick and easy returns to alterations. The ideal Customer Experience Specialist is motivated, detailed oriented, and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day . In this role, you’ll wear many hats from working with stylists to processing merchandise to supporting in-store events.
A day in the l ife…
- Welcom e customers to Nordstrom Local by being an effective storyteller and skilled at engaging with diverse audiences
- Quickly understand a customers’ needs; with an emphasis on connecting customer to a service such as Online Order Pickup, Alterations, Styling, Returns, Gift Wrapping, etc.
- Communicate with customers in a professional manner including but not limited to; answering phones; communication via email, providing feedback on trend, fit and style etc
- Understand and support of back of house processes, including inventory management and assisting with maintaining organization , cleanliness and more
- For some shifts – responsible for opening and closing the building, following the proper security procedure
- Light cleaning duties: sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, dishwashing, and restroom maintenance

- The a bility to identify opportunities that benefit the customer and build solutions that meet the customers’ expectations, including resolving any issues
- The a bility to quickly adapt to new initiatives, concepts, and services within the store
- Prove n success in working in a fast pace environment with the ability to mul t i-task
- The ability to f requently lift and carry between 1- 25 lbs and occasionally 25- 50 lbs
- A basic understand ing of technology tools and computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Booking Bug, Excel, and more
