Job Description: RESIDENT AID

MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 75 to 100 LBS!!

Entry Level Position

Spanish Speaking a PLUS

Supervision: 1) Program Manager 2) Office Manager

The primary role of the Resident Aid is to monitor activity and movement of all residents housed at ODR interim housing facility.

This includes ensuring their safety, tracking their med-Call and food handling as needed.

Monitoring includes inspections, and searching property whenever residents depart to and from the housing facility.

Other duties include:

Enforcing residency house rules

Issuing Med-Call whenever LVN is not available

Keeping the house clean and encouraging residents to maintain their living areas

Keeping track of program activity, board games, cards, dominos and other games.

Answering phone calls

Keeping count of residents

Conducting regular team building and motivational meetings

Provide daily reports and bed count to office manager

Other Requirements

Up to date TB test Clearing Resident Aid to Work with at risk clients

Food handling certification (which can be obtained online $7.00)

Proven experience with the homeless population, mental health population and/or developmentally delayed

Qualifications

Ability to read and write at High School level and or High School diploma, GED

1-3 Years office work experience

California Driver’s License

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00
– $15.25 per hour

Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
