Position: Scrum Master
Location: FULLY REMOTE EST Hours (8-5 some flexibility within reason)
Duration: 11 month contract-to-hire

- 4 year technical/IT related degree OR 9 years overall in IT industry

Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking for a Scrum Master to support a large logistics client based in the Pittsburgh area. As Scrum Master, youll play a key leadership role in the definition, development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of Agile practices (with an emphasis on Scrum) within the organization. You will facilitate sprint planning, retrospective, and daily activities related to stand-ups and sprint burn down; as well as maintain relevant metrics that help the team see and understand their progress during a sprint. In this role you own and resolve identified impediments. As Scrum Master youre responsible for leading the continual Agile transformation and practices as well as promoting accountability and transparency across all levels of the organization.
Team: Responsible for the development of applications used in Mobile Scanners utilized in the field to track and managed packages being routed through the network. The team is split between offshore and onshore groups and this Scrum Master will lead 2 different development teams. This UX/UI team has a combination of front and back end development with slightly more front end work with a 60/40 split. Their technical stack includes Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Android. The team operates on 2 week sprints and holds daily standups every morning.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform the role of Scrum Master for one or more teams, leading multiple, simultaneous initiatives or complex programs / release trains
2. Practices the core Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, accountability, and practices continuous improvement
3. Support and educate Product Owners, especially in regard to developing, refining and managing product backlog
4. Provides coaching of team members, Product Owners, Product Development Team, other Scrum Masters and PM community
5. Strong mediation and negotiation skills
6. Facilitates sprint demos, planning, and retrospectives
7. Tracks and communicates team velocity and sprint/release progress
8. Provide status reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), schedule, resources, and milestone delivery
9. Coach, mentor, and support other Scrum Masters that will be assigned to teams in iterative product development, including following the Scrum Framework, communicating effectively, managing conflict amongst team members, identifying and removing impediments, and applying self-organization and shared leadership with the team
**Please note that there is ZERO flexibility within compensation ranges provided.**
Compensation:
$40.00-50.00/hr US
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
