Position: Reliability Engineer
Location: The Boeing Company, Seal Beach, CA
Job Duties:
Lead employees and manage purchase services performing technical activities in the area of in-service data management (ISDP). Monitor and validate processed schedule interruptions (like delays, cancellations, and diversions) provided by the ISDP and Non – ISDP airline operators from across the world to identify the root cause as per READI rules and SI guidelines. Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions. Collect and analyze data and develop decision support software, services, or products. Develop and supply optimal time, cost, or logistics networks for program evaluation, review, or implementation. Monitor and validate the quality of Airlines data loaded into ARMS Database as per Spec2000 ATA standards. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals. Evaluate purchase service resources to perform data processing efficiently. Design and create various analytical reports and automated dashboards using Power BI to help users to identify critical rejections, missing data and to facilitate strategic planning to coordinate with airlines on invalid data. Design automated custom reports and metrics for each RDM data subject based on airlines data for quick and reliable Data Analysis, Gap Analysis, Trend Analysis, and Root cause analysis.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Mathematics or a related field and 5 years of work experience.
Must also have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

Performing reliability analysis of airline operations and procedures, aircraft systems, Engine systems, maintenance procedures of airlines which include scheduled & unscheduled maintenance checks,

Applying knowledge on aircraft and engine systems to analyze the failure causing component or design failure.

Collecting aircraft Reliability Data based on iSpec2000 ATA chapters 11 defines standardized formats for defining, collecting and exchanging aircraft, engine and component reliability data between organizations to enhance aircraft reliability

Using Microsoft Access, SQL, Teradata, and ARMS to manage aircraft databases

Reliability Data validation and Integration of ARMS OLTP and ARMS MART databases refresh during weekly and monthly block point release.

Developing custom SQL queries from both ARMS OLTP and ARMS MART based on RDM data subject’s requirements.

Designing dashboards with effective data visualization of large data volumes from all of the various data sources: SQL server; Teradata; and spreadsheets in Power BI

Analyzing aircraft, engine system, and operating procedures in all of the following: Hydraulic systems; Pneumatic systems; Airframe Structures; Landing Gear and Flight control surfaces; Fire protection Systems; Fuel Systems; Starting systems; and Exhaust Systems.
Travel: International travel is required up to 5%; Domestic travel is required up to 5%.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, $117,150 per year
