Full-time|2 hours ago| Full Job Description Responsible for processing registration and discharge of patients, appropriate placement of patients with providers, verifying insurance benefits, and making financial arrangements to ensure maximum reimbursement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include: Maintain patient flow by communicating thoroughly with mental health staff and patients. Register all patients per registration protocols, collect all necessary documentation and notify the appropriate provider of patient arrival. Determine patient eligibility for available insurance programs. Obtains pre-authorization as required by patients’ health care insurance or managed care providers. Ensure all insurance, demographics and eligibility information is obtained and entered into the system accurately. Maintain and prepare daily scheduled appointments Schedule follow-up appointments, if needed, before the client departs. Schedule appointments for clients, both in-clinic and outside appointments and send reminders. Follow-up on no-show patients on a daily basis. Assist with compiling data for reports and grants. Provides assistance in the day-to-day administration of the mental department Other duties may be assigned. Minimum three months to one year of related experience and/or training, or the equivalent of education and experience. COMPUTER SKILLS: Computer proficiency required, including the ability to enter data with speed and accuracy LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bilingual and bilateral in English and Spanish is required.
