Regional Seed Lead AgState is currently seeking a Regional Seed Lead for our agronomy department Are you a hard worker with a desire to learn and grow in your career?

Join our team today We are seeking a motivated individual who will under the direction of the Director of Product Procurement, be responsible for leading and increasing AgState’s Seed Market Share with the top growers within the region, and through a seasoned sales agronomy team.

Will provide seed support that represents real value to farmers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Work in a safe and efficient manner, according to AgState Safety Policy.

Always utilize sound customer service skills, when servicing and greeting customers, and when working with co-workers and other departments within the company.

Demonstrate work habits that develop, build, and support the team concept within the organization.

Develop marketing strategies and tactics that drive multiband seed growth throughout the region.

Develop and monitor Local Competitive Response (LCR) budget for assigned region to manage business accordingly.

Collaborate with (SA) Sales Agronomist to maximize seed market penetration with existing and new customers.

Collaborate with seed industry partners on marketing strategies that drive seed growth within the region.

Effectively communicate seed sales & marketing programs and seed updates to SA’s.

Make specific recommendations for hybrids and varieties where applicable for region sales agronomist.

Build long term relationships with targeted farmers (AgState users and non-users).

Develop effective working relationships with all job families within AgState.

Demonstrate work habits that develop, build, and support the team concept within the organization.

Display an attitude that is focused on improving and serving customers, teammates, and self.

Support other departments as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree (B.

A.) (Agronomy, agriculture, business, marketing, or related field preferred) and /or 10 plus years of equivalent Ag related work experience.

Minimum ten years of experience in corn and soybean development and a minimum of ten years of experience working in the agriculture industry.
