Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Radiology IT Analyst.

In this role, the successful candidate Develops IT professional applying expertise in one or more IT disciplines.

Selects, customizes, configures, installs and supports packages.

Understands the work processes of assigned business areas.

Collect user requirements and translates them into well-engineered, tested, and deployed business application systems.

Responsibilities include the analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of information.

Receives general direction, work in progress is reviewed routinely Job Responsibilities: The Radiology IT Analyst is responsible for achieving in-depth knowledge of assigned Radiology IT systems and software.

There are over 15 applications supported by radiology IT.

He/She conducts regular day-to-day communication, monitors and maintains applications, demonstrates an understanding of clinical operations, and works with vendors, Project Team(s), NYULMC Clinical Representatives/Subject Matter Experts, and end users to tailor the system to fit the organization¿s needs.

The Radiology IT Analyst routinely performs in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the use of Radiology IT systems; is responsible for developing and documenting the internal procedures that will be used in conjunction with Radiology applications; and will design, build, test, install, train and maintain those solutions.

The Radiology IT Analysts also supports modality connectivity to the network and applications.

He/She supports the installation of radiology applications and workstations running the radiology applications.

The Radiology IT Analyst is expected to use critical thinking skills in providing systems solutions to meet business needs.

· Troubleshoot problems and address questions from users, and provide on-call support on a rotating basis.

· Review and test changes, enhancements, and each new release as assigned.

· With support, create, review, and update test scripts to reflect proposed workflow solutions.

· Analyze data conversion needs.

Â
· Analyze new functionality in new releases to identify impact.

Â
· Develop an understanding of interface requirements and testing.

Â
· Provide assigned on-site support during go-lives and system upgrades.

Â
· Assist with all quality assurance processes, including change management and testing efforts.

Â
· Actively participate and contribute in meetings as assigned.

Â
· Work with radiologists/technologists and operational users to support their workflows and troubleshoot issues.

· Incorporate patient safety factors in clinical design.

Â
· Ensure the test scripts have been created, reviewed, and updated to reflect proposed workflow solutions.

· Support the training team by keeping trainers abreast of new functionality and system changes.

Â
· Communicate effectively across all impacted teams associated with task assignments.

· Participate in disaster recovery measures.

Â
· Act as an application lead, responsible for working with vendors, colleagues and users to ensure application is performing as needed, and planning and participating in and leading maintenance and upgrade activities.

Must be available to assist colleagues in troubleshooting application issues requiring escalation as needed, especially during off-hours.

The Radiology IT Analyst possesses effective oral and written communication and follow-up skills, strong interpersonal relationship skills and strong desktop tool usage including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

He/She is a self-motivated, detail-oriented, problem solver.

Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience and BA/BS Degree or equivalent.

Minimal implementation and/or support experience desired.

Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Typically requires 2 or more years of experience and BA/BS degree or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: Radiology IT experience or Healthcare experience Working Conditions: Position may require: a flexible work schedule, including night and weekend support of major implementations or major system support efforts, participation in on-call rotation, working a Tuesday Saturday shift as needed for secondary on call shift.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
