Job Title: Radiologic Technologist I
Job Summary:
As a Radiologic Technologist I this person performs Radiological Procedures at a technical level sufficient to provide adequate diagnosis. Radiologic Technologist I assists the Radiologist/ or other designated Physician in performing Radiological Procedures on patients ranging in age from Pediatric to geriatric. Radiologic Technologist I must establish and maintain quality control procedures for the Imaging Services Department.
Essential Job Duties:
- Performs and/or assists with all Radiographic Procedures with efficiency and quality according to the approved Departmental Procedures Manual.
- Reviews images for proper positioning, technique and patient identification in order to be sent to the Radiologist as a completed examination.
- Demonstrates a complete working knowledge of all radiographic equipment within the Imaging Department.
- Demonstrates the ability to correctly image and identify anatomical structures as it relates to diagnostic imaging and uses proper patient positioning. Correctly marks images with appropriate notations and initials.
- Demonstrates proper use of patient shielding devices and uses ALARA consistently while performing job tasks.
- Performs any other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Experience:
- High school graduate
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
- Must have completed internship in good standing.
- 1-3 year of prior acute Hospital experience preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Current CPR
- Current ARRT Certificate, in good standing, preferred
- Current CRT, California Radiological Technologist Certificate.
