This position will be located in our Sylmar, CA office.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of the quality system.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Responsible to devise quality control procedures and methods, implement quality control techniques, test and inspect products, and compile and evaluate statistical data to monitor quality levels.

  • Establish tolerances or acceptable deviations of components and products.

  • Use engineering blueprints, drawings and specifications to complete accurate measurement and inspection of parts for dimensions, performance and mechanical, electrical and chemical properties.

  • Train others on processes and procedures impacting component and/or product quality.

  • Complete paperwork timely and accurately. prepare charts and write summaries about how well product conforms to existing standards.

  • Participate on cross-functional teams. offer suggestions to others on how to modify existing process or procedures to improve quality.

  • Understand and comply with applicable EHS policies, procedures and guidelines. Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System.

Accountability/Scope/Budget

  • This position is accountable for the following:

  • 1. support of the department through administrative and tactical execution of quality control tasks;

  • 2. contributions to short-term, mid-range and long-term organizational goals;

  • 3. facilitation / resolution of quality-related concerns and continuous improvement in overall quality; Candidate / incumbent will need to determine methods and procedures on new assignments with minimal supervision; may provide guidance and / or recommendations cross-functionally at all levels of the organization; works under the supervision of more experienced staff who review work for overall accuracy, completeness and sound judgment; recognizes risks versus the relative gains associated with actions; understands critical success factors relative to scope of work and makes recommendations impacting applicable factors; responsible to meet established objectives and goals; drives functional performance to ensure that cross-functional standards and expectations are met; errors or failures to achieve results may add cost and may impact the goals and timelines of the organization.

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING 

  • Associates degree, completion of a 2-yr technical program OR equivalent experience and demonstrated competence;  

  • Typically requires 2+ years of experience to develop the competence required to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position.

  • Candidate / incumbent should possess the following: – experience with and knowledge of quality assurance within a regulated, cGMP environment; – ability to utilize various software applications to complete tasks; – ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; – ability to troubleshoot and complete basic root cause analysis and investigations; – ability to clearly, concisely and accurately convey communications; – ability to work independently and in groups; – ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior;
