Combining computational expertise and data communication skills, we seek to develop data workflows and applications that empower our industry-leading research and early development (R) programs in immuno-oncology and cellular therapy.

To this end, we partner with data managers, translational scientists, bioinformaticians and clinicians to link scientific questions to solutions that remove computational, logistical and technological barriers to data utilization in research.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead development and maintenance of a body of internal R packages aimed at standardizing our data workflowsHelp pioneer translation and implementation of DevOps practices for data collaborationsCollaborate with scientists to build and maintain production-grade R Shiny applications that enable efficient quality monitoring of large volumes of continuously flowing dataCollaborate with translational scientists to refine and implement internally developed data QC algorithmsDevelop, maintain and monitor data objects (products) per scientific use-cases, following internally established data development workflowsCollaborate with data managers and engineers to specify data models and data API endpoints to enable development of R Shiny applications that facilitate non-programmatic interaction with our translational dataQualification and ExperienceBS degree with 6 years of experience, a M.Sc.

degree with 4 years of experience or a PhD with 2 years of experience, majored in Computer Science, Informatics, Statistics, Biostatistics, or similar fieldsDriven to deliver solutions that impact patients’ livesMust have experience in R package development and maintenanceMust have experience and understanding of DevOps principles (CI/CD, test-driven dev, etc.)Must have command of data science stack of tools: R/Python, notebooks, and gitExperienced in R Shiny, Dash, Plotly, Streamlit, or other reactive visualization frameworkExperienced in data visualization and analyticsExperienced in setting up data workflows that interface with diverse ecosystem of data platforms and APIsComputing proficiency: Base knowledge of Linux OS and interaction with cloud-resources particularly AWSCapable of aligning day-to-day tasks with team’s broader priorities and goalsAbility to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical collaboratorsPreferred: Experience with practicing AgilePreferred: Experience with clinical data practices and standards Preferred: Experience with SQLPreferred: Experience with Spotfire Artech has been an employer-of-choice for 27 years, proudly serving over 80 Fortune 500 companies.
