- Direct responsibility for inspection and quality control activities to meet specification and quality standards.
- Responsible for incoming and in-process inspection, sampling, vendor and final testing and inspection of finished products.
- Plans and directs the work activities for employees in these functions.
- May review complaints received from customers to correct deficiencies.
- Assists in development and modification of quality control procedures.
- Suggests changes in standards, test equipment and gauges to facilitate work and maintain quality.
- Interacts with production supervisors to determine and resolve quality related problems.
Job Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Experience or efficiency with CMM-coordinate measuring machines is desirable, not mandatory.
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders/contracts, drawings, industry standards and specifications, interpretation and compliance to customer specifications and requirements.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, adept with Trigonometry – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Comprehension and accurate execution of quality assurance methods and procedures.
- Excellent communications skills with a strong team attitude
