Position Summary Experienced in electronic assembly and hand soldering of standard mil-spec and high stranded wire cable assemblies, connectors, wired enclosures and interconnect devices for military and or aerospace applications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform first article, in-process and final inspection of military cable assemblies, wire harnesses, connectors and wired enclosures. • Perform inspection to verify compliance of product manufactured to print.
• Ability to inspect molded parts including flex tests and hardness
• Using automated test equipment and perform manual DWV and IR testing.
• Working knowledge IPC-A-620 and J-STD-001.
• Experience with soldering and crimping
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, parts lists, Bill of Materials, schematics/wire lists, inspection instructions, workmanship standards, process and test specifications.
• Be able to perform inspection functions using a microscope and or magnification lights.
• Compile special material / test data packages when required by our customers.
• Be familiar with writing Non Conforming Material Reports.
• Perform audits of calibrated equipment and date sensitive material for compliance.
• Ability to use precision measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, dial indicators, height gages, multi-meters & pull testers (contact retention testing)
Job Requirements:
. Education/ Qualifications
• High School or GED
• A minimum of two (3) years’ experience with inspecting and/or working with connectors, electric cables and harnesses.
• Computer knowledge is recommended for Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word
• Ability to priorities and work in a team setting Physical Demands:
• Light lifting, up to 25 lbs. and the performance of job duties that requires seating down for a long period of time.
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand movements.
• Employee must be able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
