Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized Professional Staffing and Recruiting Firm that is actively seeking a Quality Engineer in the Los Angeles, CA market for a long-term contract assignment. Job Summary:
Establish and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS). Ensure company and customer requirements are met through effective company-wide implementation of the QMS. Provide periodic reports to upper management on the status and effectiveness of the QMS as related to the company’s written Quality Policy. Ensures process and product compliance through appropriate review and approval of work product. Serves as the primary interface for customers and Parent Site.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance with Nadcap special processes
- Develop standardized processes, tools and methods for product inspection/verification and associated compliance documentation.
- Primary customer contact for escapes and reported quality issues.
- Ensure that all compliance certification and training is performed and maintained so that personnel meet company, industry and regulatory requirements.
- Issue and monitor system corrective actions.
- Support MRB activities. Evaluate/Disposition internal and external non-conformance reports in a timely manner
- Supports chemical processing site through monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly compliance testing and results.
- Participates in internal audit program.
- Resolve disputed issues pertaining to customer corrective actions and internal quality issues relating to interpretation of customer and engineering requirements.
- Ensure procedures, processes, and controls are maintained for the creation and retention of required quality records in support of regulatory and customer requirements.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience preferred
- 4+ years of recent industry experience and demonstrated success, including at least 2 years in chemical processing environment.
- Proven understanding of AS9100 and Nadcap required.
- Knowledge of quality control, process control, statistical inspection methods, blueprint reading.
- Knowledge of Industry and Customer Specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to perform high level mathematical problem solving, geometry, mechanical properties, etc.
- Ability to juggle several priorities simultaneously, paying attention to details and deadlines.
- Background in Chemical Processing or Chemistry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation skills
- Good working knowledge of personal computers and standard office software
- Self-motivated and ability to work well with others
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement)
