Quality Control Inspector

Job Summary:

The Quality Inspector conducts mechanical and dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers and various gauges in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts Dimensional & Mechanical Inspections
  • Oversees the satisfactory resolution of customer requirements on a variety of complex Quality Assurance issues
  • Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items
  • Manages the Internal audits and corrective action follow ups
  • Performs inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies and tooling

Qualifications:

  • 2 – 5 years of mechanical inspection experience
  • Experience with receiving, in process, final and/or first article inspection
  • Experience using precision measurement tools- calipers, micrometers and gauges
  • Experience working with engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience highly desired- AS9100
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to identify and independently resolve a variety of complex Quality Assurance issues
  • Any CMM operator experience a huge plus
