The reliability and effectiveness of thousands of Aethercomm products has been tested and proven in combat, helping to protect and save the lives of our warfighters.Aethercomm is looking to fill a Quality Assurance Receiving Inspector position.Scope: The purpose of this standard procedure is to establish and define the functional role, requirements, reporting relationships, authority, responsibilities, and measurements of performance of the Quality Assurance Receiving Inspector at Aethercomm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.Receive and verify incoming parts to meet dimensional requirements per drawings.Review and understand purchase orders, customer’s drawings, Q-clauses, specifications, or any military standards.Perform first article inspection tasks including ballooned drawing to customer drawings accordance to AS9102 standard.Perform first piece, in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, various gauges, color spectrophotometer and CMM equipment according to AS9100 procedures.Ensure the quality of all material meets customer specifications through applicable quality policies, procedures, and instructions.Perform miscellaneous quality-related clerical duties.Thoroughly inspect and review new parts against drawing and bill of material requirements.Ensure all quality transactions are processed according to the quality system manual.Determine if product is non-conforming and document any non-conformances per company procedures.Document and communicate all issues to Quality Engineers, Program Managers, and other appropriate management.Communicate with internal departments to collaborate and provide support.Ensure all products manufactured and delivered meet the customer requirements.Ensure company compliance in accordance with AS9100.All other duties assigned.Competencies:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Experience with SMT soldering and related equipment.Education/Experience:High school diploma, general education degree (GED); or technical school preferred; and three plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, certificate, and experience.Language Ability:Ability to read and interpret documents written in English such as work instructions, blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Math Ability:Ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Must be able to work independently.Computer Skills:Proficient with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), Epicor, and other related software for Quality Department.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
