CoStar is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our growing analytics organization.
The QA Analyst will assist in developing testing solutions to meet CoStar’s primary goal of continual improvement of our testing process and architecture.
The role is critical to the quality and success of our products and includes the design, development and execution of tests of our products.
The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of experience and quantitative skills to undertake the responsibilities outlined below and will be eager to join a best-in-class team that performs an integral function within the CoStar Group.
The position can sit in any major US city.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and execute formal plans, procedures and scenarios for manual and automated comprehensive tests based on product requirements and specifications

Plan tests, write test cases and scripts, and automate test cases

Perform an appropriate level of testing to ensure that applications are tested effectively prior to implementation

Investigate, document and escalate (as appropriate) the defects and other quality metrics identified during testing

Work with the development team to analyze programs requirements so as to expand test coverage

Develop and implement quality standards and best practices, contributing ideas and effort toward continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS

BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

Three or more years of relevant experience as a software quality assurance analyst

Understanding of quality assurance testing methodologies and the software development life cycle

Experience reporting, regressing, and reproducing software inadequacies and defects

Experience testing relational database applications and web-based enterprise systems

Proficiency in SQL, writing queries and reporting from relational databases, and experience with SQL Server Management Studio, including experience testing relational database-backed applications

Experience in an agile development environment

Detailed-oriented, with strong organizational and communication skills
