Medical/Legal Quality Assurance Specialist:

We are an Independent Medical-Legal Evaluation firm looking for an experienced Medical Legal Report Editor to join our team.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy on all Medical-Legal reports
  • Ensure all reports comply with all current Labor Code and Case Law changes
  • Review impairment discussions and analysis including Almaraz/Guzman where appropriate
  • Consult with physicians as needed regarding findings on impairment, apportionment, temporary and permanent disability
  • Prepare physicians for depositions
  • Review medical records

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Must have experience with Medical-Legal Workers’ Compensation reporting
  • Medical writing and editing experience required
  • Must have thorough understanding of AMA Guides 5th Edition plus CA Labor codes
  • Familiarity with AMA Guides 6th edition preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in orthopedic, neurologic, internal medical, mental health and pain management specialties required
  • Experience with QME, AME and IME reports required
  • Must exhibit high degree of professional excellence with sound independent judgement and ethics
