QA Lead Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in need of a remote QA Lead Engineer. Summary: The QA Lead Engineer is focused on Quality engineering and is responsible for the overall quality throughout the application development lifecycle by creating and executing test scripts working in close collaboration with product owners, BAs and developers. The QA Lead Engineer is expected to provide leadership and drive collaboration among other test engineers and broader team. Responsibilities:

  • QA Lead Engineer will participate in scrum rituals
  • Coordinate and manage QA tasks among the team members
  • Define testing related tasks and provide estimation for these tasks
  • Create automation scripts for functional, web service and database testing
  • Develop QA test scripts in sprint
  • The QA Lead Engineer will execute tests and improve test coverage iteratively as new features become part of regression and other test cycles
  • Analyze test execution results and identify functional defects or scripting defects for improvement
  • Identify Smoke test suite and Regression test suites to ensure each build is healthy and software is functional as expected
  • As a QA Lead Engineer, this role will ensure that components and features are fully tested in each Sprint so that the feature is complete based on the definition of -done- in Agile environment

Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of Quality Engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience testing web applications
  • 4+ years of experience with MS SQL and relational database queries
  • 3+ years of experience leading QA activities
  • Experience in ETL testing using SQL Server to validate complex ETL mappings and troubleshoot data quality issues
  • Experience with complex SQL (inserts, updates, Joins, etc.)
  • Must have minimum 2+ years of Testing APIs with tools and other testing frameworks
  • Experience in API Testing using Postman/Ready API
  • Extensive experience in writing test cases, executing tests, and reporting defects
  • Extensive experience in testing applications developed in .Net
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing business requirements to determine testing needs
  • Experience creating the framework and writing regression tests for data validation using Python
  • Experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Azure DevOps to execute the test in Azure pipeline
  • Coordinate the development and execution of test procedures and protocols
  • Experience troubleshooting, logging and analyzing test results
  • Experience working with any ETL tool (ADF would be a plus)
  • Must have familiarity and some experience with QA automation (C#, Selenium, BDD)
