As part of the UCLA Ambulatory Business Office, the QAAnalyst plays a vital role on the Ambulatory Scheduling team in ensuring thatprovider template and schedule edits are completed in an appropriate and timelymanner. Through various auditting and reporting techniques, the analyst willidentify areas of opprotunity, work with the manager team members to highlightand explain these areas, and help to develop corrective plans.
In addition, the analyst will assist in developing anddeploying scheduling and templating best practices, in order ensure appropriateaccess to care. This will include in depth root cause and current stateanalysis and the use of leanmethodologies to develop, implement, monitor, and adjust improvement plans.
Required:
- Experiencewith CareConnect (Epic) or comparable EMR system
- Experiencewith physician/clinic schedules and workflows
- Stronganalytic and problem solving skills
- Proficiencyin MS Excel (with an emphasis on linking, spreadsheet management, datamanipulation and analysis)
- Skill in writing concise, logical and grammatically correct correspondence
- Interpersonalskills to communicate diplomatically and effectively with all levels offaculty, staff and non-University entities
- Skillin performing a variety of tasks independently with minimal direction in atimely matter under conditions of fluctuating workloads, competing requirements,and changing deadlines and priorities
- Skillin performing with frequent interruptions and/or distractions
- Ability to understand and adhere to HIPAA Regulations, Policies and Procedures
- Ability to use judgment when dealing with confidential information
- Skillin dealing with confidential material with tact and sensitivity
