Purchasing/ Buyer Agent

Purchasing /Buyer Agent Melrose Mac Inc is currently seeking a Purchasing /Buyer Agent to join our team in Los Angeles, California (90038). Summary:The Buyer will act as a purchasing agent for the company. They will research, evaluate, develop sources, and purchase direct/indirect materials, parts, equipment, tooling, and services to ensure the operational needs of the company are obtained. The buyer will also negotiate price and quality as well as evaluate performance and on-time delivery of each supply. They will use this data to recommend vendors to the purchasing team. Duties and Responsibilities:Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management.

  • Purchase goods and services through quotes and requisitions.
  • Collaborate with departments to identify needs, obtain authorization, and clarify requisitions.
  • Lead negotiations under the direction of the sourcing manager.
  • Issue requests for quotes to best meet needs for cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Complete purchase requisitions following through from form order input to delivery.
  • Act as liaison between company and vendor to resolve all purchase related issues.
  • Support inventory target levels to meet KPI’s.
  • Negotiate and follow through with the vendors.

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing and buying is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or experience in related field

Skills and Abilities:

  • Communication skills, written and verbal skills.
  • Detail oriented and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with an ERP and Microsoft Office
