Responsibilities

The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a Psychologist to join to the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Program in the Department of Pediatrics.

You will provide clinical services to children and to support the delivery of curriculum and other technical assistance in the education of Developmental Behavioral fellows, residents, and medical students.

Primary duties include:
Provide psycho-diagnostic assessments, psychological testing, and psychotherapy sessions to children age 0-21
Conduct developmental evaluations
Provide parent and child education through evidence-based coaching programs
Provide consultation to interdisciplinary team members
Qualifications
Ph.d or PsyD in Clinical Psychologist and current California State license
Ability to read, write and converse in Spanish (highly preferred)
Experience working with evidence-based mental health treatment and intervention techniques for children with special needs
Knowledge about a broad range of disabilities, including: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Learning Disabilities, and Intellectual Disabilities
Ability to provide consultation to interdisciplinary team members
Ability to establish ongoing effective working relationships
Ability to speak clearly, concisely, and in an organized manner to persons from diverse backgrounds and orientations
Skill in operating a computer, using word processing, spreadsheet software, power point, excel, and audio-visual equipment
Ability to maintain confidentiality following HIPAA guidelines.
